PraxisPro, a Houston-based technology startup, has raised $6 million in seed funding to expand its artificial intelligence platform designed for life sciences commercial teams.
The round was led by AlleyCorp, with participation from Flybridge, South Loop Ventures, Zeal Capital Partners, True Ventures, Techstars, Alumni Ventures, and Daring Ventures, according to the company.
“As a former sales professional, training leader, and commercial operator, we’re building the products I wish I had in every role I held,” said Cam Badger, founder and chief executive of PraxisPro. “By using curated, purpose-built small language models, we’re helping life sciences teams generate new insight to operate more effectively and ultimately support better outcomes for patients.”
Founded in 2023, PraxisPro builds AI-powered training and coaching software for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device sales organizations. Its platform uses domain-specific language models to simulate real-world clinical and commercial interactions, allowing sales representatives to practice messaging while accounting for regulatory and compliance requirements.
The company said the funding will support continued product development, expansion of therapeutic-area models, improvements to mobile functionality, and new hires across engineering, product, and commercial teams.
Sales training in the life sciences sector remains costly and fragmented, particularly given the regulatory constraints governing how products are discussed with healthcare providers. PraxisPro positions its software as a way to standardize preparation and coaching without pulling sales representatives out of the field.
The company launched its first commercial product in 2025 and has focused on tailoring AI systems to specific disease states and clinical contexts, rather than relying on general-purpose models.
PraxisPro is headquartered in Houston and serves life sciences commercial teams across the United States. Financial terms beyond the size of the round were not disclosed.
