HarbourView Equity Partners has secured $500 million in financing from KKR to grow its portfolio of music, media, and entertainment assets.
The deal is backed by HarbourView’s expansive music catalog, which includes songs by artists such as Nelly, Wiz Khalifa, and T‑Pain.
The capital will help the firm scale its acquisition strategy and support projects across the broader entertainment ecosystem. HarbourView recently backed Usher’s Rendezvous in Paris concert film and is producing a Queen Latifah biopic in partnership with Westbrook Studios, Flavor Unit, and Jesse Collins Entertainment.
“We are thrilled to have KKR’s continued support as we further scale the firm,” said CEO Sherrese Clarke. “This additional capital will help us accelerate our strategy to align with where the media, sports, and entertainment markets are headed.”
Founded in 2021 and headquartered in Newark, HarbourView has acquired over 70 music catalogs representing more than 35,000 songs. Its investment thesis centers on evergreen intellectual property—creative assets that generate stable, long-term revenue and are often resilient to market volatility.
The transaction was structured by Barclays, with KKR Capital Markets and Fifth Third Bank acting as placement agents.
As consumer demand for music-driven content continues to rise, HarbourView is doubling down on the power of music and media IP to drive cultural and financial value.
