LVCY PEARL introduces a new approach to handbag design with a patented modular system that lets wearers create up to nine unique bag styles from a single set.
Using the Building Bags System No. 1, individual clutches merge into a unified handbag, offering personalization, flexibility, and a fresh direction for functional design.
Founder Shina Xifregas developed this mechanism after years of studying the precision of Japanese kanji and exploring the psychology of personalization.
His goal is to give customers the ability to design handbags that feel truly their own.

A Leap in Handbag Functionality
Historically, handbag innovation has evolved slowly. LVCY PEARL’s merging system represents what Xifregas describes as a rare change in functionality on par with the introduction of zippers or wheels on luggage.
The system makes it possible to repeatedly change a handbag’s look, structure, and size, an advancement highlighted in the brand’s campaign materials.
A Stretch Goal With a Hidden Surprise
If the Kickstarter campaign reaches its stretch goal of £140K, LVCY PEARL will reveal a piece of signature hardware that extends the personalization concept even further.
The product has a pending UK patent application and, according to the founder, may appeal to customers just as much as the modular system itself.
Backers selecting the 9-in-1 set will receive three units of this hardware free if the goal is met.
While details remain confidential, this element adds a layer of anticipation to the campaign and signals the brand’s intention to push innovation beyond its initial release.
A Second System on the Horizon
The company also notes that a second patentable handbag system is in development, reinforcing LVCY PEARL’s plans to build a long-term, innovation-driven brand.
Explore the Campaign
The LVCY PEARL Kickstarter campaign is now live, offering early access perks for backers who want to support the launch of a patented product created by a Black designer with an ambitious long-term vision.
