Over the years, we’ve had the opportunity to establish relationships with many Black entrepreneurs.

Through these relationships, we have heard firsthand about the challenges these entrepreneurs encounter while trying to secure capital to expand their businesses.

To offer a solution to this, we formed SBLK Ventures, a private investment group focused on supporting Black entrepreneurs and building a community of mission-aligned investors.

Investment Thesis

SBLK Ventures’ investment thesis is to invest in Black-led startups in the Consumer Packaged Goods(CPG) and Consumer Technology industries.

We believe that the Black community is a major untapped market for consumer products and services, and we are committed to investing in companies that are creating innovative products and services that have the potential to make a significant impact on the lives of consumers and to create wealth and opportunity for Black entrepreneurs.

How It Works

Interested individuals register for membership by filling out a short sign-up form requesting information about their investment interests and preferences.

Membership Fee

Upon completion of the signup form, a $50/month subscription will be required to activate membership.

Deal Flow

The group will actively seek out and review submitted potential investment opportunities.

Deal Presentation

Once an investment opportunity has been identified and vetted, it will be presented to the group's members for consideration via email and an online presentation. Members will have the opportunity to review the company's details, ask questions, and provide feedback.

Investment Decision

Members are free to decide on an individual basis whether or not to invest in the company.

SPV Formation

Once a company has been selected, a special purpose vehicle (SPV) will be created to hold the funds and manage the investment.

Funds will be collected from members to invest in the identified company through the SPV.

The funds collected will be invested in the company according to the terms agreed upon.

Disbursement of Funds

Once the investment is complete, any returns will be disbursed back to the members of the group according to their pro-rata ownership in the SPV.
